I dont see nothing wrong with keeping him in the breeder, it will make it easier to feed him but you have to keep it very clean. That will increase the chances of its survival.

Hey ffffrf - how's it going!?!?
I agree with tony and would add that, in general, you can probably let the fry mix and mingle with the other fish as soon it is too big to fit in anyone else's mouth...which is, in general, the rule of thumb in any case.

Re: when to let ur fry out
I released my 5 black mollie fry a few days ago.
They were eating really well in the net but it was about time to clean the net so I just let them out.
Before I just dumped them out, I did catch my pregnant black mollie and put her in the breeder net. This was to see if she would try to eat them. She didn't so out they went.
Id say to let the fry outif they are about a week old or so as the parents aren't around to try and eat her and they have grown a bit

Re: when to let ur fry out
Yup, another preg one... I noticed she was pregnant after the one got skinny and had babies. lol
There are 10 white mollies in the newspaper for $10 for the group, or $1 a piece, I thought about picking up a few. But Im hesitant as I know the 2 black ones are both female!

Re: when to let ur fry out
Thats a pretty good deal a couple male and a couple female would work out pretty good but then you gotta worry about cross breeding, which some say is not a good thing but you never know you might get something very pretty. Ive got some cremecicle molly fry that have like a black dust to them on the tails looks pretty cool I hope the pattern keeps. I bought the mothers from the LFS pregnant so who knows what they breed with.
