Hurry HELP! Platy again...

It's hard to see but now my platy which had the pineconed scales, seems to have fin rot too! The pineconing is going away (i think) but now overnight this fungus has taken over its tail! What should I do! I am treating him with malachite green (a little more than the bottle says, because it is really growing fast!) What should I do?!

dont wurry fin rot is easy to treat first raise temp to 80 or 86 then add 1 tsp of salt per gallon and use maracyn and the fungus will come with it

I don't think mal. green is going to be your best bet here. You want to go with something that is antibiotic.

Raising the temperature and adding meds are going to lower the amount of oxygen the water can hold so be sure that you take that into account. I do not think there is any good reason to raise the temp for fin rot or your protruding scales issue.
