My 34 Gal Red Sea Max

Here are some pics of my red sea max. It's a stunning tank. these pics are the first set up days.. It has change.. (rearranged the rock) I have a frogspawn (3 heads) and a small colony of pink zoos... my xmas tree worm rock (which is growing like crazy..new worms popping up every where) clean up crew, 2 false percs, and 1 neon goby.. I plan on getting a yellow watchman goby, and pistol shrimp (hopefully they form a relationship).. what else should I add?I'm going to add another yellow neon goby (i have the blue) I'm thinking either a orchard dotty back, and/or a purple firefish.. and a few smaller nano size gobies like the gold neon evoita goby that are less than 1" had a few before they were cute and very curious.. like the neon goby is.

well uhmm... more pics coming eventually my camera is in the repair shop.. i've added more stuff including a pink finger leather, and a metallic green mushroom rock... added a dottyback...

no one likes my tank though.. no comments

Hey Sarah,

How many pounds of live rock do you have? I just got a 24 gal cube and am going to give a reef my best effort. How long have you had it?

I put 27 lbs in.. took out a rock permanently (had a huge 6-8" bristle worm in it) so i have about 25lbs i'd guess. I've had it for about 2 months.. had huge heating issue with it, and i had buy a $700 chiller.. almost the cost of the tank.. buti like the look of the tank. i will add more rock eventually.

Your opinion is the only one that counts. Do you plan on getting an anemone for your clown? Your set up is similar to the one I have in mind. I can't get as many fish though.

You seem to be getting some really nice colors in that little tank. I like your frogspawn too, i cant wait until I can get one.

well update.. I added a BTA, thought i was going to lose it.. but i was fooled. It seems happy, and it expands up to 5" round.. and it was only bout 3" round in the store. My finger leather has doubled in size.. and the colt coral (i thought i lost and killed.. found a rock.. and its alive and growing rapidly) I'm adding more and more.. slowly. Esp with xmas coming.. you can see the link above to see my BTA... and a few new shots!

Looks great. I was interested in getting frog spawn but I thought that they were stinging?? I guess I'll have to do a bit more reading.

Stinging? Every coral releases toxins as a defense mechanism and to catch food.
