Re: Some of my best coral pics yet
Thanks Todd, I am lookin at a couple more corals, then i think I will call it quits for awhile and let everything settle in and grow. I lost my trigger to the dreaded seio 2600's. These stupid powerheads are too big for my tank thats 2 fish I have lost to them within the past couple of months. I splurged for the new Hydor Korallia powerheads, they are backordered at DRfostersmith, but should be in on the 27th.

I really love your black saddlebacks!! I like how that one has a little white on their back fin. Hope mine gets that when it gets older. Tons of diversity in that tank.

Re: Some of my best coral pics yet
Ok, I cant stop buying corals. Of course most I dont generally pay much for.
So I have several new corals and a clam. I want a show size squamossa, but it will have to wait as they are very expensive.
I have more corals, I just havent gotten a good pic of them yet.
This is a pic of the toadstool my wife wanted.
A pic of the crocea clam. this first pic is eith a flash and the second is without the flash. It really does have a lot of turquoise instead of blue.
This is a pic of the red palys I got, they looked red at the lfs, but under my lights they look pink.

Re: Some of my best coral pics yet
Great pics gm, I see that you have your clam sitting straight up from the bottom. I have my squamosa sitting on its side, but are clams sitting flesh up the way they are to be placed in a tank?
Too bad I haven't figured out how to get stuff to the states yet, I could pick up a few squamosas measuring nearly a foot across pretty reasonable. I did contact the USDA to see if the restrictions for imports from Vietnam have lessened since the inclusion into the WTO, but I am still waiting for a reply.

Re: Some of my best coral pics yet
Umm I would say yes because they have to produce zooanthella to feed. If they are laying on there sides them they are not getting the best of light. I could see where this would be ok on a reef seeing how the light comes from all directions not just overhead.
That would be cool to be able to set up a way to recieve corals and clams from your area, but I think in order for me to be to purchase them here in the states would require me to have a liscense. Not too sure on this though.
