Question again
I picked up a power sweep, powerhead today, the one that rotates 90 degrees and moves 300 gph. My question is.... is this enough water movement along with my cannister at 110 gph.... and i know they dont move that much... maybe 70 or so, so maybe a total of 370 gph in a 55 gal???? Thanks

Good luck, mine moved about two months then got stuck, it is now stationary and wont move without a little push. I found the hydor rotating attatchment to work for a lot longer than the zoo med one.

It depends on what you plan to keep as far as the amount of flow goes, but the powersweeps are JUNK, if it runs more than 2 months I would be impressed. I suggest you get a couple Maxi-jet 1200's, they are very reliable and unlike the powersweeps, the flow rate remains consistant.
