cowfish !!!!Ostraciidae, Lactoria

Fascinating, beautiful yet deadly, some can easily wipe out your entire fish population when they suddenly release killer toxins into the water column.


does any one know where a pic of this fish can be seen and will it really do what it says???

i temporarily had a longhorn cowfish in my aquarium, and when i had to get rid of him i was very saddened, he was the highlight of the aquarium, it was always curious about what you were doing, and it was an avid eater, i got rid of him eventually because i just didn't want to risk him wiping out my tank, and i was leaning towards corals so he had to go. however if u are feeling risky, and have a large tank, then go for it! to me he was a very easy fish to take care of, very peaceful, and very interactive
