Ok, added additional salt last night, will do the same again this afternoon. You are correct 2 tsp will be the total used to date. Temp at suggested level and holding. I will advise what we have in the next several days.
Thanks, Pop's
Update 9/12/06 7pm central time:
A few less white spots this afternoon. No NEW white spots seen at this time. No additional stress noticed due to higher salt treatment. Will keep a close eye on things for a day or two more. Later, Pop's

Jay, I did not think the other day when I mentioned my cycling tank was bare of life. I forgot I still have my crayfish and fiddler crab in that tank. Do they host/carry the ich? If so, should I Salt Treat them?

Hey Pops
IMO since you had infected fish in the tank (and ich tends to be a survivor) it may not be a bad idea. Why go through an ich plague again. Your invertebrates should not be bothered by the salt.
FYI invertebrates, shrimp, snails, crayfish, crabs etc. will not (in most cases) tolerate pharmaceutical treatment of ich. Read the label carefully if you nuke for Anything.

Great info, Thank you. This morning brings additional improvement with the Ich tank. only 1 fish still shows "white spots" but he even looks much better. All the other fish seem to be staying "clean" this time around! It looks at though you have correctly called this one and NO NUKES will be needed (I will never Nuke unless you or Aaron direct me to do so). I will continue to hold the course for several days to make sure we stay clean.
(I will treat the other tank with the original salt dosing just to be safe) Thanks again for you help and devotion to all our fish and aquarium needs!
Always, Pop's

Today, all "Ich" white spots are gone. Fish look and act like they feel much better.Their color looks much better as well. I will leave the "Salt Treatment" in the tank for 3-4 days before reducing thru water changes. If this is not how I need to continue Please let me know.
Later, Pop's

Pops this is getting to be a very long thread.
I am going to close it, as it seems all is well.
We can pick up the summary or new comments in another thread.
Regards,
Jay
