Ruby Shark scratching his sides profusely!!
Please help!
I have a ruby shark thats been pretty healthy since i got him three months ago. he was always acting normal but this past week hes been scratching himself on both sides of his body and has even hurt himself. his scales have turned pale because of all the scratching. he has also started hanging around the top of the tank just standing still either with his nose up and tail towards bottom or reverse (with tail up and nose towards bottom) above the bubble wands. i'm afraid he is on the verge of death since some of the other fish have been picking at him; which is crazy because he was always the dominant one and also is the biggest fish in the tank. He was laying at the bottom today on his side letting the other fish poke at him. I don't see anything on the outside but I'm not sure what to give him. when i first started seeing him glancing i changed the water about 50-75 percent, but he still continued. i have a 20 gallon tank with 3 mollys, 2 platys, 4 tetras and small crab. the other fish seem fine, but they are all mostly new from within the past two month, the ruby is the oldest. any info or help would be appreciated!
