Milky Tank Water!

My 55 gallon freshwater fish tank has been set up for about 4 months now and suddenly the water started getting very milky and if i look closely you see all these specs floating in the water. All my fish seem to be doing fine i have lost a few but that is due to a larger semi aggresive fish. What could be causing the cloudy water? The filter has been cleaned on a monthly bases. And the tank gets cleaned every 2 months. If anyone has any advice that would be fantastic.

Welcome to FTF. Sorry to hear of your troubles sounds like you could have a couple of things going on. First a "monthly" change of filter media is not enough IMO. Most folks change 15-20% water every week. Filters can be nitrate producers. What are your water params? How many and what kind of fish do you have? How often do you feed them? Get back to us so maybe we can narrow down the cause.
