Gonna start dosing my tank with Vodka
So now that I caught your attention, here's the deal:
I stumbled across the internet people dosing their SW tanks with Vodka to lower nitrates and phosphates and also to get crystal clear water. I've done all the research needed and figured that for a tank my size (14 gal, about 10 gal of actual water) I would need to dose .05ml of Vodka twice daily (0.1ml per every 100L of water). For this you're going to need a skimmer and it is also recommended to have strong water flow since you will actually lower your dissolved oxygen in your tank. So this will be an experiment, I'll take before, during, and after pics to show my success or failure. I'll also post my water parameters before, during, and after.
Wish me luck

Wow sounds crazy! I'll be interested to see how this works out. Nice looking tank ya got. Pazuzu eats anything? Thats great! I thought they only ate copopods (I'm sure I misspelled that). Shows what little I know about saltwater!

Thanks...Yeah, he/she eats Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and I have a 'pod culture which i put in a "satchel" of live rock with 'pods in the tank every other day....You're right about them being picky eaters, it was luck that I got a Scooter Blenny that would actually eat frozen food.

Re: Gonna start dosing my tank with Vodka
Update 1:
After a few days, I decided to change from Vodka to just plain sugar. They pretty much do the same thing (as far as my research goes), besides sugar is cheaper and they don't give you dirty looks at the liquor store (Class VI on a military base) for buying vodka and explaining that it's for my fish tank.
Either way, I just did a water test and I'm happy to report that my ammonia, phosphates, and nitrates are at an awesome ZERO...I still have a few floaties but that's something I'm willing to deal with.
I'll keep posting updates as needed but I just felt that I should share this. Pretty soon I'll be moving up to getting shrooms, Zoas, and anything else that the wife is willing to let me spend money on
