It's been 7 years since I had to sell my 50 litter tank (Was moving to US) Then after some time I discovered my aunt had a spare tank she wan't using and decided to set it up. Compared to my old one....it was not as impressive. The over the back filters are a catastrophe, and the one I had wasn't really doing it's job. I used to have an internal filter with a sponge inside and a pretty nifty turbine wheel or however it's called here. For some reason these fish kept on dying, while back in Poland I kept all my fishies nice and healthy, so I'm not sure if that was my fault or not.
Right now I bought myself another betta for a little, tall tank (bout 2 gallons or so) that I have. And I'd like to buy something a little bigger but not insanely expensive like I see at petsmart (300 and so)
I've seen this tank
http://wallmart.com/ip/Tetra-Aquariu...-Pets/12177653 and read the reviews. Some say it's awesome, some say it's so so (i'm not planning on buying a tank online) and then there were eclipse hex 5 and mini bow ... something tanks. That were bit more expensive.
What I do care most about is the actual tank though, I don't think using the one I had here (about 25 gallon) would be a good idea since I'm not sure if my furniture can hold it. It's new, but I don't trust the stuff you assemble yourself (yes I had solid wood furniture my whole life....that was impossible to move XD )
Can anyone point me in the right direction? and possibly a good filter that is quite cheap.
For now I don't think I will keep more than this betta (perhaps a danio or some other hardy fish group?) Depends on how the filtrations would work out.
Any other advices are welcome,
Thanks
ALSO! The stores I have in my neighborhood include petsmart, wallmart, petco, petsupply (i think) and some non brand stores
