Sick Tang
I have a Yellow tang that was looked fine yesterday and today I found him in the back of the tank leaning up on a rock not moving very much. I got him out and he has damaged fins, white vertical strips on his body, and a dark brownish sore above his left eye towards the front. Any suggestions of whats wrong or how to help him?

Re: Sick Tang
What are the other tank mates? Did you quarantine this fish before placing in the main tank? What size tank and what are the water params?

Re: Sick Tang
Are any of those fish new? I believe both the Wrasse and the Damsels can be a little grumpy. Have you noticed anyone picking on the Tang?

Re: Sick Tang
No one bothers the tang at all, the tang rules the tank. The damsels fight with the clowns when either crosses into their half of the tank.

Re: Sick Tang
Ok, darn. My next thought would have to be have you noticed him rubbing on the rocks? Maybe parasites, so he's rubbing which would cause the sore?
