To answer your question it sounds like copepods. Good food source for fish. I am curious about some other info. What size tank do you have, how long has it been running, are you going to continue to cycle without fish...it is the best method. We have a video tutorial on the subject located on the Front Page. Also what about water parameters??

whats in my sand??
I'm new to this board & brand new to whole marine tank set up.I was wondering if anyone could help me with what im sure is one of many questions i have about the set up of it all. I have no fish in there as yet,but have live sand & rock,last night i noticed there are small 'bugs' in my tank..now im sure this is from the live sand but not 100%,they are about the size of a grain of rice & the best way i can describe what they look like is that they look shrimp like?,clear/almost white & are scurrying around on the bottom of the tank...anyone know what they could be &if this is 'normal'? Thanks in advance for any info.
