Im gonna re do the substrate on this one around christmas with topsoil and white sand to cap it. Should turn out nice.

while i try to get photos of the gourami, i would like to also point out that i have done nothing to this tank till this week. i have started dosing EI once weekly with excel. just feeding the fish has kept plants alive, but it needs more nutrients. so i have added gh with water changes and done the same dosing as i do for my bigger tank, just once a week with water changes and plants are growing. i still try for good close ups of the fish. he just won't sit still long enough.
