My Rope Fish are picky eaters?

These are my two rope fish, had them for about a month The only problem with them is we keep buying them little feeder fish, small enough to fit in their mouths and they will not eat them. The only thing they seem to like is boodworms. any reasons why or are they just picky eaters?

Those guys are totally awesome! They look like some sort of crazy serpent sea monster!

I'm obviously no expert with ropefish, but I find that some fish do develop favorite foods! I know several of my cichlids are that way. I have a Red Devil that will only eat Hikari Gold cichlid pellets (large pellet size only!). I've tried many other foods but that is all she'll eat, besides the occasional small fish. However she is over ten years old. I'd say it's a picky eater simply because it really likes the bloodworms! Maybe let it go a few days without food and then try introducing something new. It might be more willing to try something else if it's not getting it's favorite food as often as it likes. Just a thought.

Those guys look great. i am looking to get me 2 as well. From what i have read in the research i hae done on them, they are usually not picky eaters. must people report that their favorite food is fish. although they would eat them at night time when they are sleeping. this is becasue they are very slow movers and they dont have really good eye sight. what they do is they smell teir food and them bump into into it a couple of times before they eat it, so the fish they catch them when they are sleeping. So this been said, leave te fish in their tank and dont feed them for that day or 2 days, like zero said. you might wake up missing a few fish.
the reason why they might not eat them also could be that at the fish store, or where they kept them, they might have gottem thm used to eating blood worms and didnt feed them much fish. but in the wild they mostly eat fish, and i read that almot eveyrope fish is wildcought, since they are very hard to breed in tank, there is no recorded tank breeding. as far as i read.
