yo yo loach
I have two adult yo yo loaches. They both appear to be healthy, eating, active.
There is one I have a question about. In the evening when it is getting time for the lights to go out (and after a busy day) the one loach goes into the small cave like structure. It is fairly low, but high enough for them to go in and out of. What I notice about this one loach is that when he goes in to rest, he almost always lays on his side. It just seems a little odd to me. I don't see any sign of illness, or disease. Is this just something that they do? I have had this particular loach for close to 2 years (I'm pretty sure), the other one for less time. I am guessing he was at least several months old when I got him, being around a couple of inches long.
Anything to this behavior?

Re: yo yo loach
NO problems...that is typical behavior for a lot of loaches. I have seen my golden loaches sleep draped over a leaf stem.

Re: yo yo loach
Jay is right on, so not to worry LTL. My YoYo's do it all the time..they are fat and lazy, and yep...they sleep on their sides!

Re: yo yo loach
Thanks judge for the reassurance.
Quite some time ago, I was talking to some techs that were actually paid to be in a position of authority and advice givers and they had said that that was not normal behavior.......sometimes you just don't get what you are paying for
