tang and butterfly

just wondering if any body knows if you can keep a yellow tang and a lined butterfly in the same 75 gallon tank

I've never heard of, and can't find any references to lined butterflies.

I would be cautious and keep my eyes peeled for at least a day adding a butterfly with a yellow tang. zebrasoma tangs like the yellows can be particularly aggressive, and butterflies aren't known for having laid back behavior either. Although it can be hit or miss with personalities, I would suspect you'd have better luck if you acquire them both young and make sure there's plenty of liverock, possibly separated into two sections for them to be able to hide and establish territory.

If you get them both at the same time, they should be fine. If you already have a yellow tang established, he might not like someone messing with his territory.
