Tank setup for Fire Eel

Hello everybody,

I bought a 75 gallon fish tank 3 days ago and I'm still cycling it, I haven't decided which fish species I'd like to have in my aquarium.

I have been looking at some of the Fire eel videos on YouTube and I really like them, I have been looking up information about them and I couldn't find any good site that provides information. I know that I need some sort of hiding spots (Pipes) for Fire eels and that's about it really.

All I have in my aquarium so far are some drift woods and a few fake plants.

P.s. I'm just thinking of getting one fire eel and nothing else in the tank.

Welcome FJvamp to FTF. Good for you on your fishless cycling!! Sounds like an interesting idea. Sorry, I have no input on the fire eel but I will look around and see what I can come up with. If you are only 3 days into cycling you should have plenty of time to gather up all the info you will need/want for whatever you decide to stock with. Just remember to be patient with the cycling and it will be well worth the wait. We have several videos that are very informative, you might view those. Keep us informed, we would like to hear of your progress.
