Koran angel is itching!!!

I have a Koran angel fish that I purchased about 3 weeks ago. he is eating fine and seams to be swimming fine. He has grayish patches on him that i am assuming is from the itching on the LR. Help i have no idea what to do.

Hi, unfortunately, Tangs are some of the most susceptible to ick. They have a very thin slime coat. There is a product called; Marine-Max by Tropical Science which boosts the fishes immune system to help it ward off the ick, I use it. Also, use a product like Stress coat to help keep the slime coat a little thicker and that may hinder the ick from having such easy access to the fish. If you are not adverse to chemicals, I have also used Kick-ick by Ruby Reef. It works.

Our Koran was the fish that introduced ich in our system back in the day... we tried a handful of things (supplimenting food with vitamin C & concentrated garlic, added some heavy handed UV in-line from the sump, non-copper based treatment "coral" safe treatment which killed all of our xenia at the time...) not sure what helped/hurt, but it took nearly 2 months before all signs of ich were gone.

i've read that fish over time build up a tolerance/natural immunity to ich and the problem solves itself, as long as they are healthy and kept stress-free enough to not succumb to it. I personally cant just helplessly watch and wonder if i'm letting all my fish die though
