floating calico

I have a larger size fantail calico in color. It seemed to be fine on the outside. yesterday it started floating on its side; then upside down. When i open the tank to feed; it comes back to life and eats flake and pellets pretty well. there is a dragon fish in the bottom that only comes out at night, a feeder goldfish that got real pretty so I had to keep it. Ammonia is 0 nitrite is zero. i dont check the nitrates because they always seem to be high. I do biweekly water changes. i dont overfeed. sometimes I dont feed at all. now im feeding alittle more because it shows the calico is still alive. fish is maybe 1 yr old

From what you describe it sounds as though there may be a problem with the swim bladder. You could try feeding it some muched up peas and/or garlic which I understand (although have not personally experianced) will help
