My zoos

and what are these.. they are all over the tank

ok I can only put up four pics....I have more..
now I have a bunch of other creatures worms that come out at night(and pull rocks toward there holes, amiphodes<sp?>, little white worms that crawl around the live rock but part of the stays in their hole, and these really little things that again look like a type of anem. but have attached themselfs to the underside of the live rock near the base I could keep going but you get the point does anyone have a good reference where I can resarch these guys and not bother all of you to try and figure them out(I have all ready searched online but I kept coming up with crap
Btw its my first saltwater tank( I have other tanks but they are freashwater) any comments are welcome
thanks

Hi Phaze5, and welcome to the forum!!

I wish I could help you but my experience with Salt Water Tanks is limited, to here, and what I can Google if I get curious.

The Salt Water guys have a strong union here and usually take weekends off, I'm sure one of them will wander in and help you out soon.

Regards,
Jay

Phase5,
I am relatively new to saltwater myself (I have had my tank for several months now). I did not have the anemone on my live rock but I suspect it is one of the ones that is considered a pest. I think they are antiposa or something like that. There are some decent articles and pictures out there on the net if you look for them (I did not book mark them sorry).

As for the amphipods (the little white and dark) almost bug looking critters in the rock they are to be expected and a good thing to have. If you have live sand they will be in there as well. I recall sitting around in the evening when I fist dropped the live rock in and watching these critters. They can be fascinating in their own right.

I will see if I can find anything on the anemone and edit the post.

Take a look here. I think it is fairly decent info (but unwarrented). It describes many of the good and bad nitchhikers in live rock. I have a hard time looking at yoor pictures and comparing to these pictures but you might be better off since you can see the real thing at your end.

It is hard to tell from the photo which is zoomed way in. A feather duster should be able to be identified since it would retract in the sleeve when frightened or threatened in any way.

What is that little 1/2" tube with two antennae sticking out of my sand/rock?

This could be a polychaete of the Family Spionidae. They are harmless detritivores that use their tentacles to pull in detritus and other organic particles. In addition to detritus, they are also quite capable of snaring small pieces of fish food drifting in the water column. They are very similar to Terebellid worms, -see below.

I also have a bunch of different worms like the sand mason worm and such

On the anemone looking thing, if you startle it does it go into a calcerous tube or does it retreat into itself?
The tank looks good as far as I can tell, you do have a little cyano in one of the pics, tey to get some waterflow into that spot.
