| Re: The start of my new 75G Reef Ok so I am definitely going to get a Euro Reef skimmer. Heres my perdicament, on the Euro Reef website, they sell Blemished units for $149.99. The only problem is that they only have the ER RS80 model. Which is only rated for up to 80g with average bioload. I am thinking of an average to heavy bioload. I could step it up and get a brand new RS100 which is rated for a 100 g average bioload. Their brand new RS100's are around $288.
Could I get away with running the ER RS80 in my 75g? Or should I get the RS100 for almost double the price? Would the ER100 be worth the extra money?
I changed 100% of the water in the live rock bin 2 days ago. I tested the new water and live rock, ammonia-0, nitrites-0, Nitrates- 0. Its seems good to go. However Im not quite ready for it yet. It will be sitting for a couple more weeks, 2-3 maybe. It should be nice and cured by then! |

| Re: The start of my new 75G Reef I would go with the rs80 and save some dough. It will still work just fine. |

| Re: The start of my new 75G Reef Thats what I was thinking too. I couldnt justify spending $300, when I can get a RS80 Blem for $149. Thats what Ill do then, sweet. |

| Re: The start of my new 75G Reef I bought all the plumbing supplies today, it came to about $41. Not bad. I also bought a Mag 7 for my return pump, Koralia #2, and a Hanna handheld TDS meter. All should arrive by Monday at the latest.
This week I plan on dry plumbing it and HOPEFULLY by the weekend have it up and running with water to check for leaks. I am sooooo excited, you guys have no idea. It will soon be here, a new tank!
I will order my Euro Reef RS80 skimmer in a week or so. I should have it up and running in November. Hurry up! |

| Re: The start of my new 75G Reef Make sure to primer the heck out of that presswood, looks really good, much neater than my hood on my nano, especially after taking a dremel and chisel to it to get the lights to fit. |

That presswood sucks up soooo much primer. I used 3 coats already!!!
I made the inside demension of my canopy to be 49''. My PC fixture is 48 1/8'', so it will be a tight fit indeed. The new fixture I get will be 48'' exactly. (48'' Aquactinics Tx5 fixture) I just noticed I will have to move a brace on the inside of the canopy for the light to fit! Douh!
Thanks for the compliments guys!
I have a new dilema.... After adding in the skimmer to my sump I will only have enough room, length wise, to fit 2 75w heaters in the sump. Will this be enough for heating up my tank? I will keep the room temperature between 70-75F. Im assuming I could get away with this? I really dont want to put a heater in the display.
Thanks
