I have been researching/ reviewing post and website about lighting fixtures.
I want to have a moderate light for my 75 gallon tank, without having to jump into the co2 thing, but leaving it as a possible future project, so a T5HO fixture with 4 tubes seems right.
So two questions.
1. I have an old 75 without the center brace, and the tank has an old Perfecto hood with two glass covered slots, can lights be mounted over that?
Do you absolutely need a glass top to protect the lights, or to keep the fish in?
2. what are recommendations on brands? There seem to be too many out there!
Light research is driving me crazy.
