Plant opening/shutting

I have a plant in my aquarium that was added after all the others. Several weeks after the originals and about a week after the others I added.

It has grown quite a bit w/ just the light, and no chemical additives or fertilizer.

It seems to open/close the bushy parts at night time and open back up later when I turn the lights on.

I forget the name of the plant but is this normal?
It has grown several inches taller and doesnt look so short and bushy anymore.

In the first picture it is the plant right below the breeder net
