well i seem to be running out of plant fertz .. so i was wondering
whats the best bottle of fertz you can get? i mean all around, so you only have to dose one thing .. like how theres # - # - # on each bottle .. what do those mean, and what should you look for?


also .. is it bad to change fertz on your plants? will they get angrY?

That one bottle doesn't exist friend. There are a lot of lfs and purveyors of product that would have you believe it. The better "snake oils" sell for about $8 for 250 ml. and I guess sell really well to the nube.

Working with plants and nutrient dosing in the frame of Aquariums, requires some devotion to research, experimenting, meticulous plant care, etc. That's what makes it interesting and fun. Constantly asking for the easy way, searching for non existent silver bullets, or 4 lines of instruction in a post that is going to make your tank a success is not going to happen.

The question about # # # was just answered in a post yesterday. They indicate the % of NO3; PO4;and K available per application. You need to read further on the label to see what the source for the, say NO3, is and if you are comfortable using that chemical in your aquarium.

i was actually looking for the cheapest way out ....

i just graduated middle school, so money is what predicts what happesn with my tank .. i dont have some sort of income, no pay check, just money i get somehow, and i try and do the best for my tanks with it

It will give you really good insight to the different types of nutrients/ferts that are needed, (especially towards the end of the thread). Also discussed is a online source of dry ferts purchased by the 1# bag. Its incredibly cheap as you dilute the ferts with water and dose according to your specific tank. I can already tell the bag of potassium nitrate I purchased will probably last me more than a year for my 20 gallon tank. You will need to get several different dry ferts, but at $3-$5 each for approx a year's supply, its not bad t'tall. If you don't have a credit card you should be able to ask one of your parents in exchange for a couple car washings or mowing the lawn

The only additional fert not available on this website is Seachem Flourish liquid for trace nutrients. This runs about $8.
