 Just A Few Questions/Issues
Hello All,
I just had a few quick questions for everyone. I just moved to florida and i live in the royal palm beach area, i was wondering if someone could suggest some good stores for supplies as well as live stock (dont mind driving for quality)...over the past month or so i've been searching the general area and really haven't been too impressed with the stores around, so if someone could help me out with that it would be greatly appreciated.
Just to give a basic breakdown of my tank so far...
-110 Gallons
-120 LBS of Live Sand
-120 LBS of Live Rock
-Current Outer Orbit Model 1073 (60" Fixture with 4 54Watt T-5 Bulbs and 2 150Watt Metal Halides....516 Watt total output)
-2 Koralia 2 Powerheads (Behind rock on bottom to circulate water behind rock)
-1 Koralia 4 Powerhead (Opposite side of filter return to circulate water at top)
-UV Steralizer
-Protien Skimmer (DIY...came with tank)
-W/D Filter (DIY...came with tank)...Return has Y on it 1 side having standard Return fitting other side having an enductor to maximize water circulation in lightly circulated area.
-4 Damsels (had 13 to start....8 Died, 1 jumped out)
-4 tiny starfish that came with live rock
Thats pretty much the current setup (just started cycling about 4 weeks ago)...sorry if i just rambled, just wanted to give as much info as possible.
The other issue i've been dealing:
Over the past week i've seen new creatures in the tank...i have no idea what they are and unfortunately i can't snap any pictures for you guys...the best that i could describe them is as follows:
Creature 1:
- looks like a slightly translucent flea of some sort...moves very fast scurrys about on the rock surface.
Creature 2 (multiple of this):
- long clear tenticles coming out of the rocks in differnt spots...some spots having more than one tenticle coming out....some of these tenticles and reach from rock to rock (3-6 inch gaps)
Creature 3 (only have see one...and it's very possible that the one i've seen was just an exposed one of "creature 2"):
- looks like a serpent star...with a circular body and 4 legs coming out...body was a sky blue...and tenticles were clear
Would greatly appreciate anyone helping me out with all of this.
