| Re: 90 gallon FOWLR? IMO I would at least go more for like a minimum of 55g for your first sw tank. It allows for much less of a "swing" of water conditions because of more water volume.

| Re: 90 gallon FOWLR? I see... But is having a 10g FOWLR possible?
I'd want to keep the AquaClear 50 I have on it (200 GPH)
10-15 lbs of live rock
2.5'' LS bed
3 Small fish + a few snails/Shrimp
I had a friend who had a 10g SW tank and he was a complete idiot about it but his tank still lasted with the same fish for over 2 years.

| Re: 90 gallon FOWLR? Plus, you'd only be able to put one small fish a 10g...what fun is that?
Just use a basic setup on a 55, that's what I'd do if I were low on cash and wanted a salt tank.
It is possible, but as posted above one fish under 3" would be all it could handle biologically. But if that's what you want go for it!

| Re: 90 gallon FOWLR? Damn lol I either want to go with a nice little 10g SW (probably not going to happen now) or I'm getting at least a 75 or 90 gallon tank.
I just did a little math in my head and it'll cost $2,500+ Minimum wage sucks lol

| Re: 90 gallon FOWLR? You could look into a used bio cube aroung 24 gallons, it still will keep tou limited on fish, but it will be much more likely to keep stable and you can pick up one used with lights and filtration for around $300, so it would be well under the $2500 mark you mentioned. I set up a 26 bow front, with all the rock, sand, corals, anenome, tank, skimmer, heater, pump etc. it is about $1000 complete.

| Re: 90 gallon FOWLR? Hey looks like we make the same amount lol. Not quite $2500, I spent $1800 on my 90...that's starting with nothing that has to do with aquariums. (cleaning supplies, buckets, syphons etc.)
You could really cut the price down with a 55. (in sand, rock, tank, stand, and even filter and skimmer size) I bet you could set up a 55 with $1000.
