| Water Temperature I am new to saltwater tanks. I have a fish only with live rock system that has been running for around 2 ? - 3 months. My tank has a black clown, flame angle, blue tang, sails, crabs, etc. My current temperature is 75 degrees. Is this too low? If so what should it be and how should I increase the temperature without harming the fish?

| Re: Water Tempature The minimum temp for a saltwater tank is 74. You may consider checking a fish vendor website like liveaquaria.com concerning each of your fishes temp needs and finding a happy medium. To increase the temp if needed raise it a degree every few days and they should be fine.

| Re: Water Tempature Check into getting a submersible Heater size appropriate for your tank size if you don't have one already.

| Re: Water Temperature Ummm. . . a heater? They make lot's of nice ones. The Visi-therm Stealth heaters are pretty nice. How cold is it in the morning after the lights have been out? |

| Re: Water Tempature Thanks for the input. And to respond to Tullsterx, I am not stupid. I have a heater that is set at 75, but I did not want to jack it up to 78 in fear of harming the fish, which is why I posted the original question. |
