| Re: My 90g setup (pics) Thanks, I'm almost glad I got ich and gave away butterfly...who didn't make it by the way.
I wonder if that happens often...that is a fowlr gets ich and sits empty so people buy corals.
I still can't wait to get my coral beauty back in there though, got about another month. I can stop treatment on friday so that's good.

| Re: My 90g setup (pics) Thanks for the comments.
I just picked up a green gonipora. (I'm going to have to lay off the greens for a while.) I didn't know much about them so I asked a ton of questions on my lighting, placement, flow and so on. I've been reading while it's acclimating that they do well and will suddenly crash in about a year even for the experienced reefer. So I guess I'll see how that goes. This was another new place about a half hour away. If it'd been closer I would've went home and researched it first...oh well I guess it'll test my water quality and skill. (they're having a huge frag swap on Saturday, I'm excited.) I'll post a pic of it tonight if it opens up once I get it in there before the lights go out, if not tomorrow.
Some more great news, I've got a patch of like 30 green bubble algaes. They are each like 1mm, I don't know how I'm supposed to remove those tiny things, any thoughts? I was thinking about trying to suck them up with my plastic syringe, how well are they usually connected? think it will work?

| Re: My 90g setup (pics) I had a ton of those on one of my rocks, it eventually spread to every rock in the tank. I got an emerald crab, and he has remarkably eaten just about all of it. Do not pop them in the tank. It will help them spread. They eventually grow so big and then they pop anyways, spreading more into the tank.
Remove the rock they are one and scrub it in a seperate bin.

| Re: My 90g setup (pics) Yeah that is correct they will pop and seed every where so you should do what nereaga said and scrub them in a separate bin. I have also heard
the samething as you about the gonipora being short lived.

| Re: My 90g setup (pics) I found out that we are lacking on its diet in captivity, not quite sure what it needs exactly (although mostly photosynthetic). The only long lived one in captivity...15 years (so I've read) is in that huge aquarium in Hawaii. They use natural sunlight and pump ocean what through it. I guess it's the size of a large beachball.
I hope it makes it a year. It's slowly opening up now, I may be able to get a pic of it by 10 when the daylights turn off.
