Does my live rock like it is ok? this is my first reef tank setup so im not sure what it is supost to look like. Also when will i start to see sighns of growth from it?

my tank has been cycleing for 2 weeks now

Dang,

Looks great. If you want to see color start to grow on your rocks I would suggest buying some Purple-Up. This will help promote the growth of coraline alge by raise the level of calcium in your tank. It still will take a couple months before you start to see anything though. I can't really tell because the picture is kinda small, but if you don't have a powerhead for water movement then you need to get one. They are only about $20 or so. I have a Maxi-Jet 1200. Don't be afraid to ask lots more questions! Later.

I agree, it looks great to me! Since the picture is so small, I cant see if that is one rock or you have stacked it that way. The only thing I would say is that if it is stacked up like that, make sure it does not tip easily. The last thing you want is to have a fish knock it all over and possibly break the glass!

I havent yet been able to get my hands on purple up, but my tank has started to show some really nice purple and darker red coraline algae. I think the more calcium you can offer your tank, within reason, the better as far as promoting colorful rocks. I switched over to Instant Ocean Reef Crystals and there is definate improvement.
