Everyone,

Here are a couple pics of my "thing on the glass". Props to who ID's this one. The only thing I can think of is a baby Urchin. I have two of them. They have both about doubled in size in the past couple weeks. They are still very small. Here is a blown up picture... it's kind of blury sorry about that.

Here's another pic of it zoomed out. Where's Waldo here?? LOL. He's about one inch down and two inches left of the snail. You can see better detail with the below picture rather than the above. It has a ball in the center with it looks like spines or tenticals that go all around it. They aren't stiff cuz I can see them moving in the current.


Yeah... I know it's realllly small. Anyways, here is one more blown up picture that didn't turn out that great. Let me know if you guys have any ideas!

im with Tinyfish. it looks like a baby anenome. you could proboly google it. its really hard for me to do it because of the brlurryness.

hard to tell but kinda looks like aiptasia or if it has no stock it could be Boloceroides mcmurrichi (swimming amemone) niether of which is good .so look up and compair picture on-line . I could be wrong but gives you someplace to start

yes it looks like aiptasia to me too. i had some and they were really neat not as big a problem for me as people say they do bud and spread a bit but as long as you keep your eye on it it is neat. it grows really fast if you feed it brine shrimp and you can see it digestive cavity when you feed them something with a strong coloring

If Aiptasia you can use "Aiptasia Control" drops. Kills them in 30 min or so. Had a 2" one that was in a very hard spot to get to but my shrimps ate it finally.

Did you ever figure that out out Whodey as far as what it is was? I had a guess but didn't want to say anything out loud. Then again, my computer monitor is older than kids so who knows if I am seeing things clearly.

I"m still not sure what it is. I can tell you it's not aiptasia becuase I had these once before. I bought two peperment shimp and they were gone in about 4 days!! I like the idea of an anemone, but by looking at the pictures of the Boloceroides mcmurrichi I don't think it's that either. I'll let you know if I figure it out. Thanks for the replies!!

No, the aiptasia were gone in 4 days or so. I had a dozen or so in my tank.
