I have a bubbler running across the length of my tank and I am wondering if I should leave it on all the time or put it on a schedule... Does this even make a difference? I know that having more oxygen in the water can never be bad... But I wonder if the fish get tired of all the extra movement in the water pushing them around... What do yall think?
This is all in a 30 gallon fish tank, I do have a second bubbler that is inside a plant and I only turn this one on sometimes beause the bubbles are fairly large compared to the bubble stick that throws out the finer nice looking bubbles.
Do the fish get bothered by all the movememnt in the water?

IMO you do not need to put the bubbler on a timer. Especially the smaller bubbles. I personally leave all my airstones (big and small) on 24/7. Some of my fish even sleep in the column of large bubbles. I think the only way you could distress the fish would be if the ENTIRE tank was bubbles and they just couldnt get away from them.

Before I re-arranged I had a 36'' bubble wand on the back wall, two 6'' air stones, a single round airstone, and a ornament that made quit big bubbles on all the time.

Im down to a 36'' bubbler, a 6'' bubbler, and the ornament.

My fish loved it more than hated it.
