Hi all. I have a blue crayfish (had 2) that I just noticed yesterday is carrying a tail load of eggs. I had a male and female and they had been mating and then I found him dead one day. I don't know if this was a result of the mating or something else. Anyway, the female has been fine after he died and the last few days has been hiding alot. I thought maybe she was getting ready to molt and then saw yesterday she has tons of eggs. I have seen other places on the internet that she should carry the eggs for atleast 4 weeks. I want to give the best chance to have atleast some of the fry make it when they hatch. If anyone has succesfully raised crays in an aquarium or has any ideas, please let me know.
