pregnant fish


hi i have a question i have 3 black kuhli loaches and my fish (a red wag platy is pregnant) very pregnant and i am woundering will my kuhli loaches mistake the fry for food in that case should i use a tank divider or any thing else?

and i dont put my fish in those little breeder containors is that a bad thing?

hmmm I dunno I dont have those type of fish i know some of my fish have had several sets of babies now and some i think where eaten but mostly the fry hid in the plants and are growing. I lost the 2 of the females I had so I think until the fry are big enough I wont have anymore but I wish you luck

The fry may be eaten by the platy as well as the loaches. Also depending on how big the intake holes on your filter are the fry may be sucked up into filter. Breeder net is the way to go if you really want the fry to survive.
