fernival brainard

a few days ago I bought a fresh water flounder...he is about the size of a half dollar...he has been doing well but today my roomate called me at work to tell me he looked sick or something. I can not find anything about flounders (other than recipes) in my internet searches so I have come to the forum for possible answers.

He is black and white in color and has done well....but now my roomie says that it looks like some body took a white marker and highlighted the edges of all his scales...I asked if he looked like a pineapple with his scales popping up from the body and the roomate said maybe a little bit...

does anyone know about flounders? is this normal or is something wrong?

whoever made the post about flat and slow fish....cna't remember who it was now....but just so you know....you are the reason I bought a flounder....and they are NOT slow!!!! just very flat....

I followed your link and then I found this one How to keep freshwater flounders, Archirus lineatus, with pictures...it is for FW flounders and has some good info for anyone who is interested....still don't know if mine is okay or not....been at work all day and have not seen him for myself....cross the fingers for the little dude!
