Hi Tommygun.
If you are referring to apple / mystery snails then i somewhat disagree with you about them being invasive.
These snails are probably the least invasive types of snails. The reason for this is:
1. They lay their (fairly large) eggs above the water line, which makes it easy to remove them, and thus control the population.
2. The majority of this species requires warm water (tropical) conditions to do well. They will usually perish in cold water.
Disadvantages of keeping these snails is that they can grow quite large, and therefore produce a lot of waste. They can also be ravenous eaters of plants, if they don't get fed adequately. |
