Your betta pics!

Lets see some pics of your bettas. I know most of us have them, they are usually more over looked compared to other fish in our possesion.

I have a tank especially setup for bettas. It is a bookshelf tank with three dividers.
Here are some pics of the tank and some pics of the bettas.

I have a couple more males and one female my wife is conditioning for breeding right now.

Re: Your betta pics!

If you're saying you like my setup, thanks lol

I got tired of keeping 3 seperate bowls and then I was at PetCo and saw a 2.5g tank with two little inserts for dividers and got it for 10$. They didn't have the dividers for that size tank so I went to an arts and crafts store and got that mesh/plastic stuff and cut it to size. Works pretty well, a little flimsly but it'll do for now.

What size is the tank you have your Bettas in and are those DIY dividers?

Awesome Crowntails BTW.

Re: Your betta pics!

The tank is the bookshelf version 6.6 gallon from petco with three homemade dividers. I wouldnt pay that much money for the crappie dividers that dont seem to be straight. I swear when I put them in they looked straight.

Re: Your betta pics!

Great pics guys. I like the divider setups in particular, but it begs one question...

Doesn't it over-stress your males to have them constantly staring at one another? I know a little healthy exercise/flaring is good for them, but I've read from many reliable sources that too much of it wears them out or makes them stuck in that "let's fight" pose all the time. I understand a fully flared betta is a cool sight, but I have to wonder if this is a healthy habit? Please take no offense, I am no expert nor have I kept betta for years and years.

andgm333, is that plexiglass with holes drilled in it? Very curious...
