| Poll, before, or after? So, I just got done messing with my 90, pulled out plants that weren't doing well, moved around the decor, and added things... I just can't really figure out how I want everything, and I'm really trying to make less hiding places, so my Jack Dempseys will stay in the front of the tank and be more active.
Anyways....
Which version do you like better, in the second one, just imagine that I didn't stir the sand all up, and that the tank is clear

| Re: Poll, before, or after? Yes, she is a green severum, shes always wanting attention, and at the front of the tank begging for food, just like a dog.

| Re: Poll, before, or after? Hey Andy! I like #2 as well...more natural and more focus is on the fish. In fact, it looks like you have a lot more fish in the second picture, which could be nothing more than timing, but I still like it.
Not that I really want to push my opinions on everyone, but if this was my tank, I would look into adding a background. One reason why I think #2 is better looking is because you can't see through the tank, so the fish are 'highlighted' more. That may also help you in that your fish are less 'skittish' becuase they only have one direction in which to be on the lookout for preditors or threats. Again, just a suggestion and nothing more but a darker background might help you highlight your plant(s) as well. |

| Re: Poll, before, or after? I've actually been looking for a background for some time now, but it seems impossible to find one 30" tall, I just want a simple black background, but even online I can only find 24" tall ones, I saw a 30" on thatpetplace.com I believe, but they were sold out... go figure.
I believe the fish like the new set up as well, it seems my male jack is finally coming around, and taking over the tank, with 3 black skirt tetras missing I guess, it'll give me a chance to work up a rainbow, or tiger barb shoal/school though and add more color.
I'll try and get a clear shot up tomorrow at feeding time when the jacks are out of hiding.
Also, list of fish would be:
Green severum
2 JDs, mated pair
Now, 4 Black skirt tetras
1 bosemani rainbow
1 tiger barb
4 cory cats, 3 jullii, and 1 panda I believe
1 pictus cat
1 gold dojo
2 yoyo botias
1 redtail botia
