If you go to the Drs. Foster Smith website and click the fish tab then click clearance this picture is on the screen(1st pic.). I asked them what fish it was and they told me it is a diamond tetra but looking at other pictures of diamond tetras I really doubt it. Diamonds have a red eye brow and mostly silverish bodies and their fins are different.

The fish in the picture are more round not oval and they have orange-ish and purple coloration.

Thats because it is a saltwater fish, its the Apogon Leptacanthus(Long Spine Cardinal Fish).

Well thank you for letting me know. I was looking through my Marine Fishes book just for fun and I just saw them and I was like holly crap thats it! And then i came on here to erase this thread but you had already replied, so thank you. In my book by Scott Michael he calls them the same scientific name but then also lists them as blue streak cardinal fish and threadfin cardinal fish.

good job for finding it i had a few fish that i didnt know what they were and this was about a year before i found fishtankforums... and the fish i had were two jewel cichlids.
