Hello everyone,
I know that I should probrably know this already since I have been keeping these fish for almost 8 months now, but I have no idea how to sex my yellow labs. Earlier today I traded off my Kennyi and a Johanni I had (they were getting ready to breed and ripping up my tank) and so now I have 6 yellow labs left.
Most of my fish look identical, however one of them is much more pale yellow and I can clearly see vertical banding on its sides. I suspect this may be either the sole male or female lab I have, otherwise it is a cleverly disguised fish of another species.
I have heard it is hard to distinguish between males and females, but I thought maybe someone knew of a sure sign that I could look for. I will try to get a decent picture of the 'odd' colored fish, but it is hard since they will never sit still for me!
