My fiance and I recently started a new goldfish tank; so our interest and enthusiasm with goldfish is FRESH and NEW (again ). So we're wondering who else on here are the goldfish people.

We have a 46 gal. bowfront and it currently only has two neighbors in it. We have a Black Moor and an orange Fancy. We plan on getting a Ryukin, a Lionhead, a panda telescope eye, and maybe a Shubunkin. I'd like an Oranda or a Pom Pom but she's not really into those types. We aren't planning on putting more than about 5 in that one tank so that they can grow large.

It has a natural pebble substrate, one bamboo plant, and long airstone creating a very full bubble curtain, some nice looking rock work, and that's about it.

We'll post some pics later.

Glad to see our Goldfish friends haven't been forgotten.

Currntly have 2 breeding trios (6 x Red and White short tail Ryukins) and another breeding group of 4 x Black Moores.

I just recently sold a breeding trio of blue scale Orandas and their babies (About 200 of them) to a breeder.

Also have tropicals as well and just about to set up my 6ft tank for African cichlids.

Sorry no pics. My camera has been aout of action for a while. Hoping to get it fixed soon. (Just no time .....)

I have a 37gal with 5 blackmoors and I love them also. I over filter my tank and I have had them for 3yrs.

I have a planted 45g with 6 Red Cap Orandas, they are only a year old but doing quite well in the newly set up 45.

We have updated the aquarium and added a couple of folks to it. We have added a red & white Lionhead and a calico Ryukin. I think we may add a Pearl Scale and call it good. We don't want more than the 5 fish in there and we are eager to see them get bigger. I'm hoping they get to the 4" or 5" mark.

I planted some eludea in there expecting them to eat it; but they haven't even touched it! Now it has taken root and started growing. What a cool surprise. I also added a couple of Banana Plants thinking that some low, broad leaved plants would look nice. Turns out the banana plant is the Ryukin's favorite snack. So the leaves of those plants are slowing disappearing. We don't mind. It's their tank, their home. If they want to eat the plants, so be it.
They are all still juveniles but I've got them eating blood worms out of my hand now!

I love Comets! I have one that I won (bought for $2.00) at a state fair 2 years ago. I'm so proud of him, who ever hears of a fair fish living this long! And he's huge...

Thanks!! I just realized you can see all the awful scratches. I got this tank used and it's homemade Someone before me scratched it all up!

I would say not to worry about it like people actually care If the tank has scratches It is the fish they will be looking at.
