Re: Show off your cichlid Pics!

I've seen these online occasionally. Are they South American? The ones I have seen range from yellow to a bright red , Yours is beautiful showing all colors.

Re: Show off your cichlid Pics!

Actually it is a hybrid of the trimac cichlid and other unknown species. The colors range different in these fish, most of the other ones I have seen did not have the color of this guy. This guy will actually get a little more red after I staet feeding him some different foods. From what I was told he was mainly feeding on guppies.

I am glad you got him because he wouldn't have been to healthy on a all guppie diet .

You can also make a flower horn by cross breeding a Jack Dempsey with a red devil.

You are correct, your jack is a female.

Very nice flowerhorn GM, I tried a juvinile flowerhorn a while back, but I lost it, not sure why, it was eating well, although it wasn't active much.... It was actually scared of my black skirt tetras.

I'm sure some of you have seen these pics already, but here goes my south american cichlids.

Green Severum

Dempseys w/ babies

And I used to have this absolutely beautiful Blue Zebra

Re: Show off your cichlid Pics!

I agree! Some great photos of some great fish! Here is the only cichlid I have right now, but I am going to scratch my cichlid itch once again in a couple of days so I will post pictures of them once I get 'em settled in.
