Here is my new JD (jack demsey). I believe it is a female (females have blue spangles on the lower jaw area (lower gill flap, males do not). This fish was a rescue, it was going to be poisoned that night (fish store went out of business) . I got the JD and 9 firemouths and also 4 acara (I think they are port cichlid acaras) plus one african (pearl of likoma mbuna) and one convict. I also got 5 catfis (3 pictus and 2 sun cats). So far they are all doing well, will have to see how they adapt to my water (high PH) to see if i can keep them all or not.
