Thanks,
Matt Attachment 821 | It is a angel, a south american cichlid. Scientific name is : Pterophyllum scalare . There are several types of angels, im not an expert but i believe that is the one you have. I will pm you a link that has profiles, articles and pics of the different species of angels. Then you can continue your own research, i would post it here but i was told not to promote other websites on the forum.

| Re: Show off your cichlid Pics! Ahhhh! Well that makes a lot of sense. The black and blue one(kenyi) was the dominant one in my tank and the new one seemed to be pretty dominant in the LFS tank. (I don't know what it is. It is yellow with black stripes. I'll post a pic for some possible help with identification.) No funny behaviors have started occuring, so let's hope they make it through the night and through that crucial live or die period in the first 48hrs. Thanx for the info Rusty.

| Re: Show off your cichlid Pics! Here are the pics of the two new cichlids. Some help with their identification would be great. I am going to do some research on my own, but I know many of you know these off the top of your head. The other is a pic of the Bristlenose Pleco. I was finally able to get a decent picture of him. The one picture is of the "kissing" through the bag. I am going to see if I can post the video of them "kissing." I just think it's neat. Forgive my simple amusement, but this is all new to me.

Here are my latest. I almost lost all of my tanks due to the ice storm we had up here a few weeks ago and power was out for a week. but with some hard work a lot of water changes and a lot of prayers we made it through.
In the blue tank are my Angel wigglers. About 100 ready to start free swimming tomorrow.

The other looks like Pseudotropheus Lombardoi (Kenyi) in male dress and the one its kissing with looks like a Lombardoi female or juvenile male.
The new fish might be P. Crabro, but the reflections off the side make it hard to tell...
I would strongly advise you to read of my MBuna guide before buying anymore fish! The P. Lombardoi or P. Crabro are large aggressive fish with large territories and not recommended for any tank smaller than 75g. With Mbuna there is more than a 48hour period since these fish have a radical temper change (for the worse) when they hit sexual maturity! |

| Re: Show off your cichlid Pics! I was about to ask you where your guide was, and then I signed in and saw the link in your signature. Thanx for the info. I will read it when I get home from church today(wife is fussing as she is changing a diaper right now lol) If I notice any drastic changes in behavior for the worse, I will have the fish police remove the trouble maker and place him back at the LFS (hopefully before he makes serial killer status.) Thanx.
