| A new race 10 gallon tanks
Aquatech filters
New gravel 5 pound bags
Petco heaters 50 watt
Thermomter,glass suction cup style
10 drops of Genesis
1ppm ammonia added
Tank temperature was set at 85 degrees.
Tank K had a pack of Bio-Spira by Marineland added
Tank L was treated with Cycle by Hagen
Tank M was treated with Stability by Seachem
Tank N was treated with stresszyme by API
The new variations here are the lower ammonia levels of 1ppm to start and the increased temperature. More ammonia will be added as the ammonia disappears from the tests until the tank can process 4ppm added in a single dose. I'm also adding a new product to the tests marketted for bacterial supplimenting. Instructions for Stability request daily doses for the first week unlike the weekly redosing rate of Cycle and Stresszyme or the one time dose of Bio-Spira. All tanks will be dosed by the bottle instruction amount and rate of repeat. No salt added to the tanks this time either. |

i must say you should create a cycling website and post all of your data there .. you could sure work wonders for beginning aquariest (definately not spelled right) who are trying to cycle their tanks asap!
keep up the work |

The Cycle and Stresszyme tanks recieved their weekly dosage based on bottle instructions today. The Stability tank recieved it's final daily dosage today and no further doses are required by the instructions for a month. |

Unless my eye's are decieving me it appears Cycle has actually caught up to and slightly passed Bio-Spira for the first time in any of my tests. Now I'm kinda excited to see who crosses the finish line first on the 1ppm ammonia dosage under heated conditions. I think it's going to be close with Bio-Spira having a slightly darker shade of nitrate but Cycle slightly ahead on the ammonia. |
