| Jay - Just saying thanks! Jay,
Remember me?
I had the ich problem and cycling problem.
You asked me to post pictures of my fish, and I did, but I never heard back from anybody.
As it is now, the ich is gone, the tank has cycled and the fish are all fine.
The larger white spots on the fins of the Cichlids are called egg spots.
They are normal.
Anyway, nitrites are 0, nitrates are 10, ammonia is 0, and the only issue I have right now is 6.8 PH.
I am happy with all that. I have no choice but to be happy!
Thanks for everything, and the ceramic rings are doing great!

| Sure do...you need to post more often!!
A pH of 6.8 in a FW tank is good, no problems there!
We did not post back because you had the problem under control and all was well.

Everything is super. The fish have grown, the water is sparkling clean.
I did my weekly water change and cleaned the filter.
I was very careful not to disturb the ceramic rings too much.
So, if you say 6.8 for PH is cool, then my water numbers are perfect!
I'll have to post more photos of the bumblebee cichlid.
He's my favorite.

| Since this is about thanking jay I want too thank you as well as ahill. You both helped me a lot even though I got my tank B4 I lost my job and was not able to get water testing materials like I should have. Now I will be doing my best to give great advice at my LFS, of course along the way getting help from the experts here. Especially if I have a salt water question , because that still is a bit of a mystery to me. Ill tell you this too, where I am working i,f you take it seriously, you will learn some serious stuff about animals. They are making me read and test about each animal group, including 4 books per animal. Though this is still not biologist status, Id have to say that at least they are trying to educate there employees as much as they can. Look at me defending pet stores. Well I can only speak for myself, I am planning on going to school to be in some field of biology and will still say many pet workers only want to close the sale, Beware.
Thanks Again, I apologize for getting away from the subject

| I appreciate the thanks and am glad I can help and give back to the hobby and beginner forums like this. This is how I learned a lot and continue to learn.
I also really like the fact that folks are starting to wade in, discuss, contribute their experience, share, and help to develop a friendly community of interested hobbyists.
I know Aaron shares that feeling.
Regards,
Jay |
