I have a freshwater plant tank with Danios, Tetras, an African Pigmy Frog, and Ghost Shrimp. Several spotted Danios are losing their colors and fading to a white. Also one of my tetras is rather runty and rarely leaves the area the heating element is in. I recently did a water change, i've checked my nitrogen levels (they are fine), and i feed my tank fish pellets. I am also having chronic problems with algea accumlulating on certain plants that water changes and the ghost shrimp have yet to solve. Any suggestions on what i can do?

We need a lot more information in order to help what sounds like multiple problems.

pH
KH
GH
Nitrates
Nitrites
Phosphates

How heavily planted is your tank? 10% 40% 60% 80%
I attached a photo of 75% to give you a feeling for that.

Do you dose ferts?

Do you use CO2

Have you added any water treatments lately like pH adjusters, algaecides, etc.?

How many watts per gallon of light and duration.

FYI Ghost shrimp will not help with algae problems.
