Any Cichlid Experts Out There????

Hello,
I just got through ridding my tank of Ich, and I now see one of my Blue African Cichlids is turning black, but only sometimes?

He/she has done this before the water treatment so I don't think it is that.

I have done some reading and some "experts" say "she" is breeding?

Any Cichlid experts out there?

My nitrates are low at 0, but the other numbers are normal.
PH 7.5
Nitrites 0
Ammonia 0

They eat Cichlids "Gold" pellets and freeze dried brine shrimp.

I'm not a Cichlid "expert." But I did have them before I converted to salt.. If I remember right.. Your ph should be 8.2... At least that's what the people at petsmart and the local fish store told me.. I don't know if it affects your fish.. But just some info..

Thanks for the info on PH.
I am trying to get all the water numbers under control but I am not using chemicals to do it.
The PH is slowly going up so maybe this will help all my issues.
