| For quite a while, yes, but not really long term. Fed them to my puffer and lionfish when I had them and they could usually last a day or two. Then again, they didnt normally die because of water conditions, but I did pick one or two out of the water as they were floating and not eaten. |

| I would NOT keep a ghost shrimp in a saltwater tank long term. That is not their natural habitat, per say, but most shrimp, I believe are born in salty water.
There are TWO types of shrimp that look very similar to each other...the GHOST shrimp (Paleomonetes sp.), which is a freshwater "feeder" shrimp most often (they are also good cleaners if you overfeed a lot, for example in a fry tank where it is hard to feed correctly with such small flakes)...and there are WHITE shrimp (Penaeus vannamei), which are saltwater shrimp, also used as feeders most often.
Let me preface all of that by saying I am not sure what the differences are, and am NOT the expert. I am only stating this info because on every online aquatic store I have looked into these shrimp on, there are two seperate profiles for each type, freshwater feeders and saltwater feeders, and they both are nearly identicle other than the scientific names, which are also pretty close (at least to me). If you want to know more, then search for their scientific name, rather than common name, so that you get more information on each one in particular.
I would put your ghost shrimp back in the freshwater tank if I were you. I did not mean to imply that they can be interchangeable and even if they were, you are going to have a hard time because you probrably did not acclimate it between the tanks. |

| What kind of "salt" or "salts" are your guys talking about. NaCl, MgSo4, KSO4,
CaSO4 etc. etc., combos of each, one only. Just so we are all on the same song sheet for discussion

| I would think that it would get used to the salt. I have surfed on the internet and it said that they are good for feeding saltwater fish that are hard to feed. |
