Goldfish vicious?

I have two good size goldfish in my ten gallon tank and am looking for fish i can put in there with them. If i do put anything in there with them will they harm the other fish or is it ok to have more fish in there. Lastly, are PotBelly Mollies salt or fresh water?

Actually you have as much (probably more) fish than a ten gallon can handle. Gold fish put off much waste, much more than small tropical fish. By good size you mean what? If they are very old they have surely outgrown the ten gallon tank and are living stressed which will shorten their life or atleast cause them to be sick. It is not true that fish only grow to the size of the tank and quit. It's more accurate to say they grow to the size of their tank and then stress until they die. I would strongly suggest moving up to a bigger tank. Certianly don't add other fish to this setup.

They are about 4inches long from the top of their nose to the end of their tail. Is there any way for me to post a picture of them? Im new here and dont know much about the site

Mollies are freshwater dwelling fish. Although I hear from several sources that they can be kept in brackish water and from there (slowly raising the salinity a little at a time) introduced into a salty environment without fatal consequences - I cannot vouche for the truth of this claim as I have never seen it done, nor have I ever attempted it myself - nor will I attempt to do so. I myself will not recommend trying, but there it is all the same.

Indeed you already have more in the tank than is generally recommended and I would not suggest introducing any more fish until you can get them into a larger tank, but to answer your question: maybe, most fish will not bother your goldfish unless the new arrivals are aggressive. (ie. Cichlids, Oscars, etc.)

Thanks about the mollies! I went to a pet store the other day and they had mollies and plecos in saltwater and that didnt seem right.

Yeah, some LFS's around in my area tend to mix freshwater tanks in with their saltwater tanks and vice versa and it tends to create a lot of confusion. Just remember that Plecos and Mollies are freshwater fish, and when in doubt, ask the store clerk what type of tank it is.

I know, it's scary to trust the word of a salesman! But they should be able to tell you the truth about which of their tanks are fresh and which are salt. I would never trust a dealers opinions on which equipment would be best for you - they will almost always recommend what they have in stock even if it is not a good product, after all they are in the business to make money and they have to pawn the crap off on someone - but I would rather direct those questions to other aquarists or on one of these forums and get other people's opinions on a particular product.

The store clerks at the pet store by my house try to get me to buy all sorts of crap that is usless or unnecesary.

It's kinda hard to see the shot. You can try to place the picture here in one of your posts. When you are writing your post you will see the dialog controls above where you type the text. On the bottom row of buttons off to the right of the center you will see a yellowish button that looks like a mountain range with the sun above and to the right. This is the Image button and it will allow you to insert a picture into your post. Click on that button and select the picture post and it will fill in the needed tags for you to place the picture in. Try that and we will see if we can see it any better.
